-
Wood, gas or electric oven: which one is best for my pizza? Each pizza maker or chef develops techniques and skills that work best for their pizzas. It is necessary to demystify the idea that the wood oven guarantees a better quality pizza. As incredible as it may seem, the type of cooking in the three types of ovens (wood, gas, or electric) if they reach a high temperature will not differ at all in the result of the taste of your pizza. There is indeed a difference in heat distribution in open gas and wood ovens, known for reaching high temperatures, however, the heat source is positioned on one side of the oven. Therefore, during cooking, you need to rotate (bake) your pizza so that it can bake evenly. In the electric oven, the heat arrives evenly from above and/or from below through the resistance, with a homogeneous heat distribution that eliminates the need to rotate (bake) the pizza. At Fornetto, we have developed a unique resistance to enhance heat distribution and reach high temperatures in a short time: with thirty to forty minutes of preheating, your Fornetto reaches a temperature of up to 500 degrees.
-
Does Fornetto consume a lot of electricity? No. Through efficient thermal insulation, you will not feel the heat and consequently the power consumption is extremely low, on average R$1.00 per hour.
-
How is Fornetto thermal insulation?Fornetto is produced in carbon steel and stainless steel and wrapped in a ceramic thermal insulation blanket. It has an extremely efficient thermal insulation and insulates heat both on the top, on the bottom and on the sides. The lower part is the most insulated from heat, to protect the electrical part and allow the product to be handled.
-
I used my oven outside and would like to transport it. How long should I wait for it to cool down so I can ship it?We recommend that you turn off your Fornetto and leave it with the lid open for about 15-20 minutes. At the bottom of the oven you will find two handles that make it easy to carry.
-
What sets Fornetto apart from other pizza ovens?Fornetto was designed to be in your house or apartment and, precisely because of this, it offers security and versatility: easy installation (just plug it in); transportation made easy (you can move it from the gourmet area to the kitchen, or even to friends' houses, as it only weighs 23kg!); peace of mind for the pizza maker (Fornetto has an automatic temperature control in the ballast on the stone that allows even heat distribution - with this, you don't have to worry about measuring the temperature or baking (rotating) the pizza); unique design and power: stone baked pizza in up to three minutes (short cooking time and high temperatures - up to 500 degrees).
